Vegan Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Temperatures are cooling off, humidity is starting to drop, that must mean fall is on it's way! Ready for those warm fall flavors? These vegan pumpkin cinnamon rolls will hit the spot!



  • 1 cup Totally Nuts! Original Almond Milk
  • 2 Tbsp vegan butter (room temp/melted but not hot!)
  • 1 packet/2 tsp yeast
  • 1 Tbsp organic sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp each of nutmeg/cloves/ginger
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 cups unbleached flour


  • 2 1/2 Tbsp vegan butter
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin butter*
  • 1/3 cup organic sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp each of nutmeg/cloves/ginger
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (toasted)


  • 2 Tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 Tbsp pumpkin butter*
  • 1 Tbsp organic sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (toasted)


1.  Dough: Mix almond milk and vegan butter, sprinkle on the yeast, sugar and salt, let stand for 10 minutes. Add spices, then mix in the pumpkin puree. Add flour slowly then transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until a loose ball is formed. Clean and rinse the mixing bowl then coat with oil. Put dough back into bowl, roll around oil to coat. Cover with plastic wrap, leave at room temperature, and let it rise (about 45 minutes). Ball should double in size. Roll out dough into a thin layer, on a lightly floured surface.

2. Filling: Brush dough with melted butter, pumpkin butter and vanilla, then add the sugar, spices and nuts. Roll up dough and place seam side down. Cut the dough (serrated knife works best) in to 1.5-2 inch sections and place in a greased pan.

3. Topping: Preheat oven to 350F. Brush dough with vegan/pumpkin butters, and vanilla, then sprinkle with sugar/pecans. Cover with plastic wrap. Let rise while oven heats up. Place in oven and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and crusty on top. Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

OPTIONAL GLAZE: Dairy free cream cheese frosting, or simple glaze of vegan butter, vegan powdered sugar, dairy free milk and vanilla extract. Add spices/pumpkin puree as needed.
